Welcome!

Asynchronous Flute Lessons is a great fit for students who have scheduling limitations or enjoy working independently. These are offered a la carte, or can be bundled as multiples, or can be arranged continuously just as weekly or bi-weekly online lessons.

I encourage my students to discover their inner creativity, building confident performers. I use contemporary music techniques along with traditional methods for technique and tone development for an exciting learning environment with freedom to experiment to find what works for you.

I have always believed music lessons should be fun, fearless, and a place to experiment, together we can overcome challenges and discover what works for you.

How does this work?

  • Record a video of yourself playing - up to 30 minutes.

  • Include any questions you may have either written or recorded - if you find it easier to write questions and demonstrate in the video, please include approximate timestamp of demonstration.

  • Within 2-3 business days I will send you a video with feedback, demonstrations, and answers to any questions. I will also include written feedback, any suggested next steps, and a made-for-you resource (if applicable).

  • If you have any questions regarding the feedback or anything else I have provided after the fact, my inbox is always open.

  • NOTE: My job is to meet you where you are in your playing journey in the current moment and help guide you to achieve your goals. I’d rather an authentic display of your current skill - even if that means some mistakes here and there, rather than you stress out and try to record your material perfectly.

 FAQ

  • I suggest using WeTransfer as video and audio files can be large. It is a free service, and you can download the files to view the material at your leisure.

    Be sure to contact me to book beforehand or for more information.

  • After I receive your materials, it will typically take about 2-3 business days to hear back from me. Make sure to check your spam folder just in case!

  • Of course! If you prefer this style of instruction, we can do a few things such as set up a bundle package for you with a set amount of asynchronous lessons over a set period of time, set up regularly occurring asynchronous lessons (weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc), or you can always get back in touch to book another if you’d like them a little more sporadically!

    Of course, if you take an asynchronous lesson and appreciate my guidance and instruction, but decide you would like a more interactive and hands-on approach, we can also set up 1:1 online lessons as well - I have a few different options to choose from.
